KFC's Second "Fowl Pole" Challenge to Award 500 Local Teams Parties if Youngster Hits Home Run Off Williamsport Foul Pole During Upcoming Series

LOUISVILLE, KY - To celebrate the talent and passion of youth baseball players nationwide KFC is offering a "home run" of a deal. If any player hits a foul pole home run during an official game of the youth series in Williamsport, Pa., August 17-26, KFC will throw team parties for 500 youth baseball squads nationwide.

"KFC is proud to honor these talented young athletes with such an exciting offer," said James O'Reilly, chief marketing officer for KFC. "We would be thrilled to throw parties for 500 teams across the country if someone can hit one of the 'fowl poles' in Williamsport this year."

The Fowl Pole Challenge is valid during any of the 32 games played during the 2007 series from August 17-26. After the first home run is hit off a foul pole during an official sanctioned youth baseball game in Williamsport, Pa., KFC will award $100 worth of gift checks to the first 500 eligible teams to register at www.KFC.com/baseball after the "fowl pole" home run is hit.

To find the KFC nearest you and to see what teams are eligible to win the Fowl Pole Challenge, log onto www.KFC.com. Teams nationwide can fill up with a 10-piece KFC Meal or larger, get the sides and biscuits they love, plus an extra four free pieces of KFC Extra Crispy Chicken.
